Meet the team

Kyle Dykes

Pastor
Pastor Kyle (or PK) was born and raised in a small town – much like Ledyard – in Alabama.  He submitted his life to Christ at a young age and enjoyed the benefits of being raised in a Christian home.  He attended Auburn University, in Alabama, and graduated in 2000 with his Masters degree in Accounting and then moved to Atlanta, GA, where he was a practicing CPA with Ernst & Young for 10 years.  After his professional career he and his family moved to Birmingham, AL where he attended Beeson Divinity School and received his Masters of Divinity.   While at Auburn he met his wife Marcia and they were married shortly after they both graduated.  They now have four beautiful daughters, Maggie (14), McKenzie (11), Hadley (6) and Hayden (6).
PK has a passion for the church and loves seeing lives transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.   As a church, he earnestly desires Gallup Hill to be a discipling church where mature believers spend time meeting with, praying for, and training new believers and reach out to the lost through evangelism.  He also has a passion for community service.  A local church should be a blessing to all in its community – even those that are indifferent or even hostile to it.

James Anderson

Elder
James is a native of Louisianna. He was a Navigation Electronics Technician on board submarines for 26 years, serving in Charleston SC and Kings Bay GA before coming to Groton, CT in 1991. Retiring from the Navy as a Senior Chief Petty Officer in 2007, James went to work for Videojet Technologies. James has been married to his wife Kristi for 32 years and have been part of Gallup Hill since 1991.
James was ordained as an Elder at Gallup in November 2016 .  He enjoys leading a Community Group in discussions that help to edify and strengthen men and women in applying Christ like principles in our relationships at work, at home, and at church.

Ezra George

Worship Director & Youth Leader
Born to a pastor and a teacher, Ezra was raised in eastern Connecticut. He committed his life to Christ at a young age and had the unique opportunity to see ministry happen from multiple angles, observing his dad in his pastoral position. In 2014, Ezra’s family planted a new church. From that experience, Ezra carried a passion for serving those who serve and strengthening community in churches. Ezra attended Gordon College, where he met his wife, Juliana. They married in 2022 and both graduated with degrees in Music Education in 2023.
