what to expect

Visiting a new church can be intimidating. Let us help you get over that initial feeling by explaining to you exactly what you can expect when you visit us on a Sunday morning. These frequently asked questions are designed with you in mind. Hopefully they will help you navigate your first visit to GHBC.

What time does the service start?

Service starts on Sundays at 10:00 AM.  We have coffee hour beginning at 9:15 for fellowship and goodies before the service.  If you’re looking for something throughout the week, connect with a Small Group near you!

What about kids?

Nursery is open for children ages birth to 3 years old. Children's church is for PreK - 3rd grade and Juniors is for 4th and 5th graders.  If  you want to know more about the curriculum, contact our  Children's Ministry Director, Neishly Wilson at neishly0609@gmail.com.

What should I wear?

Gallup Hill is a very relaxed, contemporary, family friendly church. Dress in a way that makes you feel comfortable. You’ll see people in anything from t-shirts and jeans to khakis and dresses.  The most important thing to remember is that we’re seeking to create an environment that’s free of distractions so people can worship Jesus freely.

Am I required to put money in the offering?

If you’re new to the church, don’t feel obligated.  We’re simply glad to have you.  If you become a regular attender or member of GHBC we welcome tithes and offerings to help maintain the ministries here at Gallup Hill.

What is a service at GHBC like?

During our Sunday service, you’ll experience a relevant message from the Bible by our pastor  or elder.  We love to sing at GHBC! The worship team leads contemporary songs mixed  on occasion with a few hymns of the faith.  It’s an upbeat environment where you can feel free to be yourself - hands in the air or not.
